Dialed Action Sports Welcomes Its First Intern in 2026

Dialed Action Sports Welcomes Its First Intern: Meet Nate Smith

Dialed Action Sports is proud to officially welcome our first-ever intern, Nate Smith, to the team. As a growing leader in action sports events, school assembly programs, and experiential marketing, expanding our team with passionate young professionals is an exciting milestone. This Dialed Action Sports intern brings a strong background in sports, youth programs, and marketing—making him a perfect fit for our fast-paced, live event-driven company.

A Strong Foundation in Sports Management and Action Sports

Nate Smith is a senior at Coastal Carolina University, where he is pursuing a degree in Recreation and Sports Management with a minor in Marketing. His academic focus directly aligns with the skills required for a successful sports management internship and sports marketing internship, particularly within the action sports and live events industry.

Before college, Nate lived in Catonsville, Maryland, where he was deeply involved in the local action sports community. He was a member of the Mount Saint Joseph Mountain Biking Team, gaining firsthand experience in competitive cycling, teamwork, and athletic discipline. Nate also worked as a counselor at a local action sports summer camp, helping younger athletes develop confidence, bike skills, and a passion for outdoor recreation—values that closely match Dialed Action Sports’ mission to promote healthy, active lifestyles through youth sports programs.

Hands-On Experience as a Dialed Action Sports Intern

This action sports internship offers Nate real-world exposure to multiple sides of the business. In his role with Dialed Action Sports, Nate will be involved in a wide range of live event marketing and operational activities, including:

  • Supporting sales calls and learning how we work with schools, PTOs, and event organizers

  • Attending trade shows and industry events related to sports, education, and experiential marketing

  • Assisting with the redesign of client proposals for school assemblies and action sports performances

  • Creating 3D schematic overhead views of performance layouts for school gyms, outdoor venues, festivals, and large-scale events

This hands-on sports marketing internship gives Nate exposure to experiential marketing strategy, client relations, and event logistics—key skills for anyone pursuing a career in sports or live events.

Learning Live Events the Best Way: On Site

No internship in action sports marketing would be complete without being on site at real events. At Dialed Action Sports, we believe the best learning happens in the field.

Nate will be joining our team on location at several events, including our third year performing at NASCAR Fan Zone events. He is expected to attend performances in Dover, Delaware and/or Nashville, Tennessee, where Dialed Action Sports delivers high-energy BMX and action sports events for massive fan audiences.

These NASCAR Fan Zone action sports performances showcase the large-format entertainment, athlete coordination, and fan engagement that define Dialed Action Sports. Being on site allows Nate to see how experiential marketing, performance logistics, and brand activations come together in real time.

Building the Next Generation of Sports Industry Leaders

This college internship in sports management represents an important step not only for Nate, but for Dialed Action Sports as well. As our programs and partnerships continue to expand, we’re excited to mentor future professionals through meaningful, experience-driven opportunities.

We’re thrilled to welcome Nate Smith as our first intern and look forward to watching him grow through this live events and experiential marketing internship. His background in biking, youth programs, and action sports culture makes him a valuable addition to the team.
